Well, finally I got some good luck to go my way this weekend at the Skip Barber Mazdaspeed MX-5 Cup. I dominated the weekend in my first road course race this year, and my very first race in the MX-5. I led the practices, qualified on the pole, and then won both races. The first race on Friday I won by 12 seconds, and the second race I won by 16. This was a very welcomed weekend after all the hard luck I’ve experienced with the race truck. I think it was a sign that I am meant to race road course. It was also my first win in over a year.
We are still looking into our options for next year to see what series we should race in. We are currently considering the Skip Barber National Series and — with some sponsor help — possibly the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Series. It will all unfold in the next few months...stay tuned! — Matt
