Thursday, January 15, 2009 — 1:15 PM    Well, it may be the middle of a cold, snowy winter here in the northeastern U.S., but I’m happy to report that my 2009 racing season is already heating up nicely. I was recently invited out to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California to test for the Alara Racing team. I had a great time while I was there, and — more importantly — I also got some more valuable time behind the wheel of the MX-5 Miata.    The folks at Alara are already busy gearing up for the 2009 SCCA Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup, which will include 10 rounds of action-packed racing at various tracks across the country. I’m hopeful that all of the various pieces will fall into place for me over the next few months, giving me the opportunity to compete in this highly-regarded championship.
